Alexa's kindergarten graduation
What an amazing day, today Alexa Nicole Painter graduated from Kindergarten into first grade. The kids sang songs, had their names called out and then played a slide show of pics of the little darlings and let me say we are not the only ones that Alexa poses for. Everyone noticed the little blonde girl with the big smile. The video above is horrible, sorry had the wrong setting on it but you will get the jist of it when they called her name.
Yup you guessed right Alexa is holding a boys hand, tried to get a picture from the front view but they were moving tooo fast. The boys face was hilarious.

Alexa and her friend Roz.

Sad day!
It was a sad day yesterday. I feel soo bad, due to the economy several of my fellow co-workers that I have come to like and respect have lost their jobs. It happened so quickly and the word spread so quickly that it made work a very somber place, it was as if we had all just suffered such a huge loss together, no matter who didn't like you or who you didn't like at that moment we were all there together feeling the sadness. I have to say this world is getting extremely crazy. Yesterday made me feel as if you just never really have had any control of your own life. The people will be ok I have no doubt of that but the effect it will have on their families and themselves is sad. For everyone anywhere that has lost their jobs due to this economic termoil we are going through, your in our prayers.

Raining in Vegas
So it's been a couple of days since I last posted and the only thing interesting that happened was there was actually rain here in Vegas, and during the night at least at my house it lasted for quite awhile. I have some more pics that I want to get posted but for the time being I am not going to since it is currently my work days and 3 am comes early. So I will post them on my days off. To all of my family in Utah we miss and love you all greatly, for our friends thanks for being just that. I am sure that by the time I post again it will be back up to 114 degrees here but hey we can take what we can get.

Today is a stormy day
So today is the start to three days of soo called Vegas storms, which is great since tomorrow starts my work week and since I take the bus to save on gas this ought to be fun. Vegas storms are quite funny. One minute it is storming like you know what and the next it is sunny, then it will be blowing so hard that you think your ears will explode and then the air is as calm and still as if your are experiencing the eye of a storm. Well I hope you like the new pics that have been added to the page. I am still trying to get a good one of Gabe and I but you know how I am if its not somewhat useful I trash it.

Holy crap ET
So had to add a quick little note to add on to my last one. See how it reads nothing happened today, well I take it back thanks to cable tv my children have now discovered my worst nightmare no its not adult movies or adult content type movies it's flippin ET. Here my children are enjoying a movie that still makes my stomach churn and the worst part they are loving it, however I can't tell if they are loving the movie or the fact that something like ET scares mom. My lovely son Jaxson who is 8 may I remind you is making it worst by making ET's yell every chance he gets then falls on the floor laughing.

So today nothing really happened that was facinating, if things keep going like this then I might start posting on a incident by incident basis. It's still hotter than the h@#$ but then we live in vegas and 3 months of really uncomfortable weather is worth the 9 months of perfect weather. I will be working on getting some pics of Gabe since I was noticing today that I don't have any like I do of the kids. Hope you day is a great one.

Hot Hot Hot
All I can say is boy summer here. It is about 114 degree weather at 5pm. I walked the kids to school today and home and to say the least I was not a pleasant sight. Poor Gabe he works in a warehouse that does not have the greatest air conditioning and then is in and out of semi trucks all day, when he gets home he is soooo exhausted. The kids love the warm days but they love being in the air conditioning as well. I have to say I am really loving this blog thing I feel like it is going to be a fun way for people and family to see that we are not lost in a deep dark hole. Alexa just said the funniest thing she is cleaning her room and I hear her say " I hate my life" when I asked why she said because she keeps dropping stuff. Oh how it would be to be her age again with things as simple as dropping stuff make you think your world sucks. I am still working on getting more pics of the family to make this page more fun so stay tuned. I love you all and thanks for checkin us out.

Hello
Hello to anyone that is reading this. Just wanted to say thankyou to my wonderful mother who told me about this blog thing I love it but let me say I am still learning so bare with me. To start off let me just give you a background of my family. Gabe and I met on a fluke meeting on memorial day weekend 1999 to make a long story short we loved eachother from the moment we met and were pregnant three months later with Jaxson Aaron who was born April 7th 2000. The reason this was such a moment for us is because we were both told we would never be able to have children so this was our confirmation that we were meant for eachother. We then shortly after moved to Vegas where we were sucked in and have never left. Alexa Nicole was born April 1st 2002, ha ha I know what your thinking yes there b-days are close together and no we don't just do it once each year at the same time. Gabe and I have been together for 9 long years, yes I said long and yes it has been worth it. I wont say they have been perfect without struggles but at the end of the day we love eachother without a doubt. So now on to the children of the family. Jaxson it 8 now and is into everything a boy would be, but I am soo impressed with him he is such a challenge but he will out of the blue do something so rewarding. He is very much a mini me of his father ( Mom I know what your thinking) but I am proud of that because his father has become such a wonderful person (his mother can't or won't see that). Alexa is 6yr and she is such a girl. but don't be fooled she will tangle with the best of them. She is really into Hanna Montana she has a kareoke machine and goes in her room and sings at the top of her lungs. It's funny because as a mother I have two children that the majority of the time people think are twins but are soo different. Jaxson is more passive and just sits back has his select group of friends goes for what he wants and leaves it at that. Alexa is more outgoing, she is only in kindergarten and knows everyone at school from staff to kids in every grade, and everyone knows her, Their principal has told me that I got the best of both worlds with the two of them Jaxson will be my artistic child with many rewards to come, and in that same sense Alexa will be the class president Well this is just the start I will be posting as much as possible so that my family in Utah can keep up to date with us.We miss you guys soooo much.
